Salads, baked potatoes, mexican dishes and dips are just a few foods that are elevated with creamy and flavorful Ranch dressing. This is a super easy recipe that is forgiving and features the ability to go in different directions.
For example,
- substitute the vinegar for lemon juice, add a couple more garlic cloves and some fresh cracked pepper for a plant based Caesar dressing
- add a bit of ketchup, finely chopped onions and sweet relish for a clean Thousand Island dressing
- omit the vinegar to keep it thick and then add whatever you want for a decadent dip (think, chopped jalepenos and spinach, chopped artichoke hearts…you get the picture!
This dressing base is great as as-is, but it’s true power is in it’s ability to bring our your creative chef side.

Notes
- If you are using a regular blender pour the 1 cup of boiling purified water over the almond flour, stir, and let it cool completely. This will soften the almond flour to help ensure that it is not grainy. (only use 1 cup of water total in the recipe).
- You may want your dressing a little thicker or thinner. Add very small amounts of either water (for thinner dressing) or almond flour (for thicker dressing).
- The fresh herbs really make the ranch flavor pop! Plus they are full of antioxidants. BONUS! Try adjusting the herbs to your taste – some people love a bit of fresh dill.
